Jo Sweeney - Founder of Volunteer Whitsundays
On behalf of Volunteer Whitsunday I’d like to personally thank the founder of Qld Food Bank Samantha Stenberg for her support during the recovery phase of Cyclone Debbie that devastated the Whitsundays in March 2017. Samantha provided immediate assistance and community relief, making herself available to Volunteer Whitsundays and other local agencies for the majority of waking hours, assisting with welfare checks and provision of goods to people in need.
Samantha was at all times professional and acted with haste to ensure the
people that needed help the most were taken care of.
I’m confident that both QLD Food Bank & National Disaster Management
Services will continue to deliver much needed services to the Greater Whitsundays and beyond.
